Johnny is our first sheltie. We bought him from Marie Dacko of Woodhey Shelties in Mississaugua, Ontario. He was one of the three dogs available. One of his brothers greatly resemble him except for his brothers white from the tip of his nose to his forehead. He is a loving boy, well tempered, and eager to play. Oh and he loves food even fruits and vegetables!  He is turning out like his dad. He gets  very excited to see us when we come home from an outing...so excited that he does laps around the family room and then over the couch and up to the kitchen where he decides to use one of the chairs as leverage to jump on the kitchen table where he then waits for his reward.   Also, we bought a laser pointer and boy does Johnny love it!!!  We turn it on and as soon as he sees it he chases it all around the room trying to attack it.  It's the funniest thing!  He also likes to chase and bark at shadows on the wall during "shadow game" time.  Johnny is sort of a "copy dog."  Since he was still a baby when Josh came, he sees Josh as his mentor and copies all his actions such as scratching his place before lying down, barking at birds, howling, and liftng his leg to go to the washroom.  He is quite a funny litle fellow.   We plan on enrolling him in tracking since he seems to have a natural tendency to find things with his nose.  He knows a few tricks as well.  He can sit, give paw and come to a spot that you point at...these things work well if you have food in hand, especially honeycomb cerial, his favourite "biscuit."  What we want Johnny to learn next is to sing and talk like Josh and to jump in our lap just like his dad.  Hopefully both Josh and Johnny will live long lives, just as long as their friends the Sam dogs and the Waafs, their beagle and cocker spaniel stuffed animal buddies.
